Orange Pop

Have you ever felt like having the Orange Pop that u get in Beijing Bites, at home?

Orange Pop...

Take one scoop vanilla ice-cream in a glass.
Mash with fork. Do not melt it.
Add a glass full of Mirinda.

Orange pop is ready.



Please Note: Not to be stored. Use within an hour.

Rice Pakoda/Pakoras

Specially useful if u have excess leftover rice.
Serves 4

Ingredients:
1 cup rice - boiled
1 onion finely chopped
1 green chilli finely chopped (can add more for more spice)
1 tsp ginger garlic paste OR a pinch of hing
handful of coriander finely chopped
1/2 tsp jeera
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Gram flour for consistency
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry

How to make:
mix all ingredients except oil. add water if necessary.
batter should NOT be watery. consistency that of mashed potato or mashed rice.
Deep fry.

Serve hot with Chutney and ketchup.

Stuffed Capsicum



Ingredients:
1 cup basmathi rice soaked in water for 20 mins and then boiled.
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 cup chopped vegetables like carrot, peas, french beans, cauliflower, sweet corn etc
1 small onion finely chopped
1 large tomato finely chopped
2 hard boiled eggs roughly chopped (optional)
2 large capsicum de-seeded (cut open the top of capsicum n remove the seeds. keep the top)
1 small capsicum finely chopped (optional since it's stuffed into capsicum)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp biryani powder
2 tsp refined oil
1 tsp ghee
garam masalas like cinnamon, cardamom etc
salt to taste

How to make:
take oil in kadai (wok), add the garam masalas, let them crank.
add onion, ginger garlic paste, let onion be transperant.
add the veggies and tomato. add salt, turmeric, mix and close with a lid until veggies are cooked.
add biryani powder, mix. add the eggs. mix and cook for a minute.
add the rice, salt to taste. take off from the flame, add ghee and keep aside for 10 mins.
stuff into capsicum and bake at 200 C for 15 mins.






cut open before serving,,, Serve hot with tomato ketchup.

Veg Pulav

Ingredients:


2 cups Basmathi rice soaked in water for 20 mins
1 large cup Assorted veggies like potato, peas, carrot, french beans
1/4 cup cauliflower - slightly roasted in 1 tsp ghee (optional)
Garam masala - 1 inch cinnamon, 4 cardamom, 1 bay leaf, 1 tap jeera/cumin, etc
2 tsp Garam masala powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 large lemon
3 tsp ghee
2 tsp refined oil
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 large onion sliced
Salt to taste





How to make:

take 2 tsp ghee, 2 tsp refined oil,,, add cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamom, etc along with jeera...,,, 
add ginger garlic paste, sliced onion. let onion be transparent.
add veggies except cauliflower... mix well
add 2 tsp everest garam masala pwd, 1 tsp tumeric pwd, salt and mix well. 
add rice, 4 cups water, juice of 1 lemon, 1 tsp ghee, mix and close. 
after1 whistle, keep on low flame for 10 mins. 
Add the cauliflower.

Serve hot with raitha...

Babycorn Grill

very very simple babycorn grill recipe...

Marinate Babycorn - 1 lemon, 1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp pepper, salt to taste. mix the marinate, add babycorn and keep aside for an hour to two.

grill on open flame till cooked.

serve with chutney/sauce.


u can also use cauliflower instead of babycorn.
